Soldier gets seven months for desertion while on leave from Iraq

VILSECK, Germany – A 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment soldier who deserted while on midtour leave from Iraq will spend the next seven months in confinement.

At a court-martial Tuesday in Vilseck, Pfc. Robert J. Weis pleaded guilty to desertion and missing movement.

    I understand about going to war but that is what you sign up for when you sign up for the army or any military branch. He had a choice. So did all all our soldiers most choose to do the JOB!! Hooah! Love You guys & gals. Keep safe.
